  • During our first session, we'll collaborate to understand your needs and establish the foundation for therapy. I'll create a welcoming space for you to openly share your concerns., I'll ask questions to better understand your challenges, emotions, and therapy goals. This initial conversation is crucial for building a trusting relationship. Feel free to ask questions and express any concerns throughout our sessions. Your comfort and well-being are my top priorities.

  • As a trauma-informed therapist in Toronto, I offer therapy in English and Spanish to help you explore your emotions, understand patterns, and feel more connected to yourself.

Being trauma-informed means I recognize how past stress, loss, or disconnection can impact your body, emotions, and relationships today. I focus on creating safety, trust, and choice in each session—especially when strong emotions or body sensations arise. Feeling triggered is normal during healing, and my role is to help you stay grounded and supported as we integrate what surfaces.

I use an integrative approach because every person’s experiences, emotions, and nervous system are unique. By blending evidence-based therapies—such as psychodynamic, CBT, somatic, mindfulness, and compassion-focused techniques—I can tailor each session to your needs. This flexible approach helps you heal more effectively, regulate your nervous system, and build lasting emotional resilience.

  • Each session is designed to meet you where you are, combining creativity with evidence-based therapeutic tools to support your healing and emotional growth.

    • Regulating the nervous system first: Using somatic exercises, breathwork, or grounding techniques, we help you feel safe, present, and supported before exploring deeper emotions.

    • Exploring past experiences: Understanding patterns, triggers, and the impact of past stress or trauma on your thoughts, emotions, and relationships today.

    • Adding practical tools for present-day challenges: Coping strategies for anxiety, intrusive thoughts, emotional overwhelm, or relationship difficulties.

    • Creative, integrative exercises: Using projective cards, expressive techniques, and mind-body interventions to help you access and express what may be hard to articulate.

  • A core principle of my approach is trauma-informed care. I have personally experienced the difficulty of wanting to share thoughts and emotions but feeling triggered instead—where expressing myself only made me feel worse. This experience showed me how essential it is to regulate the nervous system first, creating a sense of safety before exploring or integrating challenging emotions and memories.

Even when strong feelings or anxiety arise, my sessions are designed to help you feel grounded, supported, and capable of processing what comes up. Using an integrative therapy approach, I combine mind, body, and creative techniques—such as somatic exercises, mindfulness, and expressive tools—to make your healing process safe, effective, and tailored to your unique needs.

This trauma-informed approach ensures that therapy is not only effective for anxiety, emotional triggers, and past trauma but also compassionate, personalized, and empowering for every client in Toronto.
